Content Moderation Policy

Effective 1 January 2026 · Version 1.0

How Nubya reviews, enforces, and governs Platform content · Effective 1 January 2026

Commitment: Nubya is committed to maintaining a safe, authentic, and inclusive platform through fair and transparent content governance.

6.1 Moderation Approach

Nubya employs a layered moderation approach combining automated detection systems and human review. Automated systems are used for high-frequency, high-severity content categories (e.g., CSAM detection using industry-standard hash matching). Human reviewers are engaged for contextual assessments, appeals, and novel cases.

6.2 Reporting Mechanisms

Users may report content, accounts, or behaviour that they believe violates Platform policies using in-app reporting tools. Reports are triaged based on severity, and Nubya aims to:

  • Acknowledge receipt of high-severity reports (e.g., imminent harm) within 24 hours.
  • Action clearly violating content within 72 hours of receipt.
  • Provide outcomes for standard reports within 7 business days.

6.3 Enforcement Actions

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Nubya may:

  • Remove individual pieces of Content.
  • Apply content warnings or restrict visibility to certain audiences.
  • Temporarily suspend account features (e.g., posting, messaging, live streaming).
  • Suspend or permanently terminate accounts.
  • Report to law enforcement or designated regulatory bodies as required by law.

6.4 Appeals Process

Users who believe enforcement action was taken in error may submit an appeal within 30 days of the enforcement action by contacting appeals@nubya.app. Nubya will review appeals independently from the original enforcement decision and will communicate outcomes within 14 business days. Appeals related to account termination will be escalated to a senior review team.

6.5 Transparency Reporting

Nubya publishes periodic Transparency Reports detailing enforcement actions, report volumes, government requests, and policy updates. These reports are made publicly available at nubya.app/transparency.
