Payment & Monetisation Terms

Scope: These terms apply to all payment, tipping, subscription, and monetization features available on the Nubya Platform. Not all features are available in all regions.
7.1 Eligibility for Monetization
To access monetization features, Users must:
Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
Complete Nubya's identity verification (KYC) process as required.
Maintain an account in good standing, without active policy violations.
Comply with all applicable financial regulations in their jurisdiction.
7.2 Available Monetization Features
Where available, Nubya may offer the following monetization mechanisms:
- Tips and virtual gifts from other Users.
- Paid subscriptions to creator content.
- Advertising revenue share for eligible creators.
- Platform-facilitated branded content and partnerships.
- Availability of features varies by region and is subject to Nubya's eligibility criteria, which may change from time to time.
7.3 Fees and Revenue Share
Nubya may charge platform fees on monetization proceeds. Current fee structures are published at nubya.app/monetisation and may be updated with reasonable notice. Users are responsible for any applicable taxes on earnings received through the Platform.
7.4 Payment Processing and Security
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. By using payment features, you also agree to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable payment processor. Nubya implements fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and verification requirements to protect the integrity of the payment ecosystem.
7.5 Transaction Limits and Compliance
Nubya may impose transaction limits, holding periods, and verification requirements to comply with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and sanctions regulations. Suspicious transactions may be reported to relevant authorities as required by law.
7.6 Chargebacks and Disputes
Users agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first contacting Nubya Support at payments@nubya.app. Fraudulent chargeback activity may result in account suspension and recovery of associated costs.
7.7 Tax Obligations
Users are solely responsible for determining, reporting, and remitting any applicable taxes on income earned through the Platform. Nubya may be required to collect tax information and issue tax forms in certain jurisdictions (e.g., IRS Form 1099 in the United States).
