Practical steps to protect yourself on Nubya
Your safety matters. Nubya provides tools to control your experience. Use them together with the habits below. For data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
Protect your account
- Use a strong, unique password and do not share it with anyone.
- Enable biometric login on your device when available.
- Log out on shared or public devices.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and contact security@nubya.app.
Control your privacy
- Review Account Privacy in Settings — choose whether your profile is public or private.
- Think before sharing personal details (phone number, address, school, workplace) in posts or messages.
- Adjust who can see your content using post visibility options where available.
- Review connected apps and sessions periodically.
Interact safely
- Nubya does not verify every user’s identity — be cautious with people you do not know.
- Do not send money or share financial details with users you met on the platform.
- Be wary of links in messages that ask for login credentials or personal data.
- Block users who make you uncomfortable — find this under Settings → Blocked Users after blocking from a profile.
- Report posts, comments, or profiles that violate our guidelines.
Meet offline with care
- Nubya is not responsible for offline meetings arranged through the app.
- Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts.
- Never feel pressured to share location, travel alone to a private meeting, or share intimate content.
Young people
Nubya is not directed at children under 13. Users under the minimum age in their jurisdiction must not create an account. Parents or guardians who believe a child has registered should contact privacy@nubya.app.
